İletim hatları, büyük maliyetli yatırımlar olduğu için, bu tesisler projelendirilirken, kullanılacak malzemenin ekonomik, işletme masraflarının düşük, bakım, onarım ve montajının kolay ve ekonomik olmasına dikkat edilmelidir. Basınçlı iletim hatlarında maliyet, inşa maliyeti ve işletme (enerji, bakım-onarım vb.) maliyetinden oluşmaktadır. Bu sebeple içme suyu iletim hatlarında çoğunlukla çelik borular kullanılmaktadır. Tecrübesi ve mühendisliğiyle ulusal ve uluslararası içme suyu iletim hat boru projelerinde ve tarımsal sulama hat boruları projelerinde hizmet vermeye devam etmektedir.
